These Couples Made Serious Money for Losing Weight

“I found what worked for me,”  exclaims Brooke Everhart describing life after she and her husband Mat recently lost weight together through HealthyWage. “My wife and I have lost a collective 120lbs. Holy cow!” adds Mat.

Brooke continues, “I came to a point that I was going to just stay fat and happy or really do something about it.  I was tired of yo-yo dieting and fad dieting.  I decided to make a real lifestyle change.” Although she was unhappy with the way she looked, she says that she “didn’t loathe it.” And that made it difficult for her to find the motivation to lose weight, until she actually put money on the line when she found HealthyWage.

Brooke and Mat set themselves a goal of losing 50 and 70 pounds, respectively, in 9 months.

Mat admits, “I do well when I have black and white goals… having something where there’s a set date and goal.” Before HealthyWage, Mat says that he “used to be always hot and sweaty and now I’m always cold. In terms of energy, it’s a huge difference. How well I sleep. I don’t think I realized how poorly I slept when I was taking in these carbs late at night and not doing physical activity where my mind was tired but my body was not. I’m truly resting now.”

Mat and Brooke decided together that they’d join HealthyWage after one of Brooke’s co-workers won money for successfully losing weight during a HealthyWager personal challenge.

Mat bet $200 per month for nine months that he would lose 72 pounds and Brooke bet $50 per month for nine months that she would lose 50 pounds.

When their final weigh-ins confirmed that they’d both reached their goals, they won a combined total of $4,458.95.

Get Paid to Lose Weight — Seriously

It sounds too good to be true, we know. But after talking with these HealthyWager winners, we confirmed that if you stick to your goal and lose the weight you say you’re going to, HealthyWage pays you. It’s as simple as that.

Check out these other recent HealthyWager success stories:

Kayla C. bet on herself that she’d lose 50 pounds in six months. She reached her goal, winning $1,358.27!

Glenn S., who found out about HealthyWage through an online article, lost 102 pounds in 10 months and won $1,383!

Find the Motivation You Need

For Jerrett Farmer and his wife Alicia, it was about losing the weight that slowly creeps on over the years. They began their journey with HealthyWage by joining a team challenge together, along with some co-workers and friends.

After their team won money for coming in second place in the challenge, Jerrett decided to start a personal HealthyWager challenge to keep his weight loss progress moving forward.

Jerrett embraced intermittent fasting (eating only between the hours of 9am – 5pm) and dedicated himself to a consistent workout schedule two times per day.

Jerrett crushed his goal, losing 62 pounds in 6 months and winning $708.20!

“When you look at yourself in the mirror, it’s a very weird experience because you don’t recognize the person (after losing weight). It’s a much healthier place to be.”

Putting cold hard cash on the line was the push Jerrett needed to lose weight and get healthy.

He says “HealthyWager is what kept me going. When you have money on the line, you don’t look at food the same way. Money is a motivator. You have no idea how good of a motivator that is till you experience it.”

That’s an important key to this challenge. HealthyWage isn’t a diet program or weight-loss regimen. While you’ll benefit from joining the community, reading tips and exchanging recipes, the company’s main purpose is facilitating your bet.

You put up the collateral and choose your payout amount. You conduct your weigh-ins. You choose your weight-loss goal and time frame.

Because they controlled their own diet changes and exercise plan, Brooke and Mat say they’ve been successful in losing weight.

“I would not have seen the results I got without HealthyWage. [It] offers something totally unique – takes away the excuses” states Mat.

How Does HealthyWager Work?

If you want to get paid to lose weight, here’s how to get started:

1. Start with the HealthyWage Prize Calculator, where you’ll enter how much weight you want to lose (10-150 pounds, minimum 10% of your starting weight), how long you’ll take (6 to 18 months) and how much you want to bet ($20-$150/month).

Based on that information, the calculator will determine your prize amount, up to $10,000. You can play with the calculator until you get the payout and goal just right, and you’ll know your payout amount before officially placing your bet.

2. Sign up and lay down your bet. You agree to pay the monthly amount for the duration of the challenge.

3. Achieve your weight-loss goal, and win your prize!

You’ll start and end your challenge with a video-recorded weigh-in to demonstrate your weight loss. Throughout the challenge, it’s recommended that you use the HealthyWage app to log weekly weigh-ins (these are just self-reported, not verified by video). It’s a great way to keep yourself accountable and on track to meeting your goal!

4. If you don’t hit your goal, your money goes to support HealthyWage, including prizes for others who achieve their goals.
