If you exercise, eat well, quit smoking, and quit drinking all at once, you are significantly more prone to feeling discouraged and falling off the wagon. Success and sustainability come from what you are able to accomplish through hard work “most of the time”. If you put 100% effort into eating right and exercising during most of the week, a day off, cheat day, or lazy day will not deter your weight loss efforts in the long run.
